Achar mango Bu Jamal is a fixed old stable on every Kuwaiti table, it dates from way back in the day. Back then, its terrible steely cover was somewhat acceptable, even though you had to handle the jar with a towel so you don’t cut or scrape your hand.
But as the years passed by, less and less people bought Bu Jamal, because the cap always looks dirty and dangerous. I’m glad someone decided to give it a facelift.
While walking in the co-op the other day, I noticed that they changed Bu Jamal’s bottles completely. They now have a modern cap, are clean looking, and screw on and off easily. However, only the mango achar uses these new bottles, the other flavors still use the old ones. But since mango pickles are the only ones people buy, who cares about the rest.
