Three Kuwaitis win KD 150,000 law suit against Al-Watan and Al-Abduljeleel

150,000. That’s how much the courts fined Khalid Al-Abduljeleel and Al-Watan TV. 150,000. That could possibly be the largest personal fine in the history of Kuwait’s courts. We’re used to seeing amount like 5,000 and 10,000, and that’s if you’re lucky; but never an amount this big.
The Kuwaiti ladies won their defamation case, for false allegations made in an interview with their father on Taw Al-Layl show. Both Al-Watan and Al-Abduljeleel failed to provide any proof of these allegations, so the courts ruled in favor of the girls.
