Behind the scenes at Kim Kardashian’s Hia magazine cover shoot

Kim Kardashian Hiya arabic magazine cover

Kim Kardashian graces the latest cover of Hia magazine, a leading Arabic publication. Hia posted this behind-the-scenes video footage of Kim’s photo shoot. They’re basically promoting her as the “Arabian Bride” or something similar.

The theme of the shoot is a veiled and hair covered Kim, with an overly exposed cleavage. If you’re easily offended by this kind of do-up, then you might want to skip the vid and just look at the more tame magazine cover.

Here’s a quote from Kim regarding the shoot:

I’m excited to share my cover of Hia Magazine! Hia is the leading luxury lifestyle magazine for Arab woman and I’m honored to be on the cover. This shoot was so different from any I have done before and I’m so pleased with how the cover turned out.  I got to wear some incredible high glamour creations by grand couturier Stéphane Rolland!

Heartbreaking cover of New York magazine

A sad and touching picture on the cover of New York magazine.

The easiest part of a harried three days came Friday around noon, when we met to settle on the cover. A photograph taken by Iwan Baan on Wednesday night, showing the Island of Manhattan, half aglow and half in dark, was the clear choice, for the way it fit with the bigger story we have tried to tell here about a powerful city rendered powerless. We crammed back into the conference room, raced to finish our pages, and hoped, like other New Yorkers, that everyone would find the lights on when they got home [link].

The Republican VP candidate

This is the Republican candidate for the Vice Presidential position in this year’s elections, Paul Ryan. Here he’s posing here for Time Magazine’s Person of Year (didn’t win, he was a runner up in 2011).

You have to admit, American politicians are handsomer, cuter, and way cooler than our local ones here in Kuwait. Can you really imagine anyone in politics in Kuwait posing like this? It is so un-authoritative, no one will ever take him seriously. Ever.

Easy bake molotov bomb

A children’s magazine in Tunisia published an article on how to build a molotov bomb in a children’s magazine!! That is so messed up.

ReptilesQ8′s 2nd issue

ReptilesQ8, the new online reptile magazine, just issued their 2nd issue, the Sept.\Oct. one. The magazine is interesting, and not too disgusting or gory, and is filled with lots of cool reptile pictures.

Here’s the [link] to their 2nd issue. And you can also click [here] for the 1st one.

Stars Without Makeup

New Girl is one of the new sitcoms I watch. It’s a light hearted fun short comedy that revolves around one main girl charechter, surrounded by a few male friends. The show stars Zoey Deschanel as the “New Girl”, and People magazine [link] is showing her without her cute makeup on.

Even though her usual makeup is always soft and light, and not overly done like many of the other Hollywood stars, you can still get a little shocked at how terrible she looks like without her eyeliner and false lashes.

Here are a few more pics of People’s Stars without Makeup.

Qaddafi on eBay

I saw this picture on Kaifan5 and thought it was very funny. It’s the latest cover of The Economist.

I Want to be a Smurfette

If I was Smurfette (lady of Smurfs), I would get to wear LV, D&G, Lanvin, and Marc Jacobs. Checkout the Bazaar magazine of Lady Smurfette wearing couture.

50-Year Old Princess Diana With Kate Middleton on the Cover of Newsweek Magazine

This is going to be the cover of Newsweek for it’s July 4 edition. It’s a two-page article about Diana, if she was allive today. Many people are saying that the article and pictures are just a little too creepy, because it shows a computer generated 50-year old Princess Diana and a really creepy imagination.

You can read the complete article here.
