Someone jinxed Man United with Van Persie’s recent transfer. Wayn Rooney got injured badly today, at his team’s game against Fulham, and will be out for four long weeks. The incident\accident starts at the 39 second mark.

Robin Van Persie, Arsenal’s head striker, has transferred to Manchester United in a £24 million bid; making him one of the most expensive players at Man United right now.
The deal wasn’t announced till a couple of days ago, which kinda sucks for a friend of mine. My friend bought the new Arsenal shirts with Van Persie’s name on them just two weeks ago. And now he’s stuck with his new but completely worthless shirts, like an old last-season’s jersey.
The Arsenal shop refused to return, refund, or even exchange them. Shame on you Arsenal, you just lost a respectable fan. Or not. It’s kinda hard to stay mad at these top football clubs.
Anyways, back to the story of the day. Van Persie informed Arsenal he didn’t want to extend his contract with them any further, and so he got offers from both Man City and Juventus, but he wanted Man United. When Man U. got word of this, they made him a great offer and signed him on ASAP.
Van Persie may play for Manchester United as soon as this Monday, in their game against Everton. And now it’s my time to say my luck sucks, coz we were at the Man U. vs. Everton game last season!! I can’t even imagine how it would feel like to be there in the stadium for his first ever game with the red devils.

Manchester United away kit has officially been released. Its available to order from the online Man United store. The kit isn’t as ugly as the home kit, so that’s a bit of a relief.
You can order all your Man United needs from their online store. Ordering through their site is very easy and simple, and delivery is done through DHL. Plus, you can fully customize the shirt with names, numbers, and European or league badges.
Customization of kits takes between 2-3 days, and shipping to Kuwait takes another day or two. Shipping is around KD6 (for 2 or 3 shirts), while local Kuwaiti custom release charges are Kd 5.
The process is very easy. But if you don’t want to go through that process and could wait three weeks or so, then you can get it from soccer scene in Kuwait, but the shirt would cost more and the printing will be much more expensive.

Get the chance to get a Man United Legend’s autograph, and also an opportunity to take pictures with the Premier League Trophy. Andy Cole will be in Kuwait today and tomorrow.
Andy Cole and the Trophy will be at GUST tomorrow from 12-1 p.m, brought to you by Turkish AIrlines.
And if you can’t make it tomorrow, VIVA are also bringing them both to the avenues today from 5.30-6.30 p.m.
Hope fully you can make it to one of those events. Andy Cole is a true legend, and shouldn’t be missed. He is the 2nd highest scorer in the Premier league, and only retired a few years back.

I’ve never stayed at a Crowne Plaza hotel before, and to be honest, I was very worried that it would turn out to be a horrible hotel. However, our stay turned out excellent, and I came out with a new found respect to this modern hotel chain.
We stayed at the Crowne Plaza Manchester City Center Hotel [link], as part of the Man United package we won from Viva-Kuwait [click here for details on how to win].
The hotel and rooms are all decorated in a modern luxurious fashion. The rooms, bathroom, lobby, and restaurant were all furnished to a very modern standard: smart, chic, and functional. While staying there, we also saw Abu Dhabi Channel’s sports people, whom also chose our hotel to stay in.
My experience with this hotel turned out to be very positive. The staff, reception, room service\housekeeping, cleanliness, location, etc. were all great. The metro station is just across the road from the hotel (to the left of the entrance, so no noise disturbance at all) as is the Arndale shopping center (one of Manchester’s largest malls). The Printworks (where the cafes and nightlife are) is just 300 meters away, and accessible through Arndale too. There are at least three great supermarkets within 50 feet, and a lot of small cafes and sandwich shops.
We had a twin room, and both beds were Queen size, which is very rarely seen in English hotels. Also, the bathroom was very modern and elegant, with both a shower room and a bathtub. In my opinion, the room and bathroom were the hotel’s best features. But honestly; even the lobby, reception, and the bar\restaurant were great.
I’m glad I got to experience Crowne Plaza, I’ve never really thought they would be this good.
Crowne Plaza Manchester City Center is rated as 8.8, fabulous 4/5 stars by 270 reviewers on booking.com; and ranked 6th out of 123 hotels in Manchester with a 4.5/5 stars by 414 reviewers by tripadvisor.com.

We’re in Goodison Park Stadium, for the Man United game against Everton. Like I said before, I wish Man United a great game today.
It can’t be that easy playing on away grounds, Goodison is full of Everton fans. The whole stadium is blue, but still, good luck Red Devils.
We had to wake up early and take the 8am train to Liverpool, so come on Man United, make us go home happy today.

We were at Man United’s game in Old Trafford against Man City (courtesy of VIVA Kuwait), in which they lost 6-1.
Since we had such a terrible game, we decided to go to another Man United one. Kinda like giving them a second chance to impress us. So we’re taking a trip to Liverpool this Saturday to watch Man United’s game against Everton.
I seriously wish they win this time
Update: We went to the game, and thank God Man United won this time, 1-0 [link].
