Tabouk Saudi Arabia got a load of heavy rain and snow, the rain turned into floods with snow and hail covering its desert grounds.
The snowfall wasn’t as much as the one they got last year, but it still is an amazing site to see when summer is just around the corner.

Tabouk region in Saudi Arabia got snow a few days back. It pretty much covered the whole area, and caused a lot of havoc and casualties. Eight people died and many dozens were injured, roads were completely gridlocked with stuck trucks and cars.

I just read that there’s a Saudi Jiddawi restaurant in Dubai, owned and run by Saudi ladies. The place serves authentic Jidawwi dishes like Mu6abbag, Kabsa, and other things. I’m not sure if their Mu6abbag is the same as our Kuwait one. In fact, I’m pretty sure it’s something entirely different. But it’s got to be an important dish, because they have more than a dozen varieties of it.
The Restaurant is called Mutabbag O Masoub, and is located on Jumeirah Rd. in Um Suqqaim. Their phone number is 04 3282444, and their exact location is beside London Hospital and behind the Iranian restaurant.

A sheep was sold for SR 400,000 (more than $100,000). The buyer gave it (sheep’s name is el-Safi weld el-Bawaba, whatever that means) to his son as a present. I just hope the son doesn’t turn it to machboos la7am.

Messi and the other players of Argentina’s football team practiced in Riyadh, before their friendly game tomorrow against the Saudi national team.
The players got delayed for more than hour on the way to the practice stadium, because officials were trying to find a gate that wasn’t swamped with crowds. The Saudis had already faced an embarrassing situation when Messi arrived at the airport in Riyadh. There was a relaxed mode of crowd control and everyone wanted to take pics and stuff. At one point, a rifle was indadvertedly pointed at Messi (who looked pretty scared).
The rifle incident made Arab and International headlines, and one Saudi wrote the following poem about it (which I found kinda funny)
“على الهون صح النوم يا ثورة الإعلام..
ترى اللي حصل ما يرضي أهل السعوديه
أحد شال كاميرته ولا همه البسام ..
وروح ما بين الناس من دون طاقيه
واحد في يده حزمة ورق والجيوب أقلام ..
ويبغى يوصلها القناه الرياضيه
وميسي بلش فالعالم اللي تقول أكوام..
كأنه يقول الناس ماهي طبيعيه
فجعتوا هذا اللاعب ولا يرفع الإبهام ..
وعينه على الرشاش في نظرة حيه
كبيرة على الإعلام وأضرارها قدام ..
وقنواتنا في البث ما هي حضاريه
ولا باقي إلا ميسي ايصيح ما يلام ..

Argentina’s national football team arrived in Saudi Arabia last night, to play a friendly match against Saudi’s national team. Messi, who’s probably the best football payer ever, was with the team too.
The airport arrival and reception started off ok, but then some crowd gathering took place. You can see Messi cringing from the rifle pointed at his face.
The Saudis are super excited about the game, and about Messi in particular. They’ve even got a ميسي# hash tag, which you totally should really check out for a few good laughs.
We wish the Saudi team the best of luck. Hopefully they’ll be able to miraculously draw with Argentina. If not (let’s face it, that’s probably not gona happen), then we wish they lose with the least number of goals.
