The dancing tower of Zain

Zain’s building in Bahrain is just like Burj Al-Arab in dubai and the Al-Ta2meenat building in Kuwait, with dancing lights changing colors all the time.

I tried to take a few pics of the tower, at night. But i’m not really a good photographer, so I ended up with these pics of a dancing Zain building. I hope you enjoy them. They should be fun to look at.

You can never get bored with Al-Watan newspaper

I have to admit something. I don’t get Al-Watan newspaper at home, for many many reasons excluding its’ owner’s reputation. But I still check it out everyday online. And it never ceases to amaze me how it dramatically embellish headlines.

This is a perfect example. We are all over the moon with 3eed being finally here, BUt here is Al-Watan twisting its dramatic spice into current events.

It’s still a very enjoyable newspaper, especially with its ads.

Rihanna’s cover for Only Girl single

I know it has nothing to do with 3eed prayer, but ga3deen y56eboon al7een and  I got bored, estagraffallah.

What do you think of Rihanna’s cover of her new single “Only Girl”?

3eed prayer from el7aram elsahreef on MBC 1

MBC 1 is airing 3eed prayer men el7aram el-sahreef… The channel is now playing Mohammad Abdo’s La Ilaha ellah ellah nasheed, written by my favorite Islamic Sh. 3ayeth Al-Qarrani.

All I can say is it’s powerful.

Since I’m not in kuwait and don’t even know where to go here in bahrain, I decided to watch it on MBC 1.

It’s starting on MBC 1, go watch it if you’re not going to a mosque like me.

British Petroleum, it’s not our fault

According to BP, it wasn’t their fault.

A weird thing happened in Bahrain today

While I was still at Bahrain Airport, I noticed some people being investigated. Like a proper Kuwaiti, I pretended not to notice, till a nice gentleman from their security called on me.

I felt weird, so like a Kuwaiti, I asked him shilsalfa? He then asked if I was Bahrini, I proudly said I was Kuwaiti. So he just let me go, just like that. Apparently, they are actually checking Bahrinies, after the nasty terrorists activities they had a few days ago.

I have got to say this one more time, I am so proud to be a Kuwaiti. And I love our Parliament, not the MPs; but I do feel that the Parliament along side with our esteemed Government is behind the respect we get world wide.

Obama AND Angelina Jolie against burning of Quran

It’s not just Angelina Jolie who is against the proposed burning of the Holy Quran, even though she’s more important in terms of public opinion.

President Obama definitely  is totally against it, as is a lot of the world. Groups from different religions, none the less, are also against the stupid act of burning the Holy Quran on the 9th anniversary of 9\11. President Obama has requested that the pastor of the Florida church initializing the burning, via Good Morning America, to “listen to those better angels”.

What did the pastor think of what reaction him day of burning the Quran would bring?

Muslims are, in large, an ignorant people. If you burn the Holy Quran, they will have no option but to retaliate. For us, Islam is the 3rd and FINAL Abrahamic Religion. The amount of violent reaction expected would over way whatever  good he thought the burning would bring.

And I have to add a personal note, NOT ALL MUSLIMS ARE TERRORISTS. Actually, the majority of us are peaceful and all for peaceful negotiation of sensitive issues. I am sick of repeating this phrase. And, for God’s sake, the Holy Quran, is OFF LIMITS.

Anyways, I am proud to say that the event lead by a Florida church has been CANCELLED.

Arid w agool, America lil7een eb5air, thank god.

The ending of Zwarat 5amees

Zwarat 5amees has got to be one of the most controversial Kuwaiti series mosalsal that has aired in a very long time. You just have to go to the blogs, read the comments of posts relating to the mosalsal to get a grasp of how hugely followed it was.

I just finished watching the series finale. I know I’m late, but it has been my habit to watch it on Abu Dhabi at 2 in the morning. For me, the timing works perfectly.

Anyways, back to the finale.

I am really happy that all the boys got back to their wives, and that everyone is in love again. I love how 3iz and zozi got married. I love how the cousin is back in their lives.

What I hate, but have seriously being expecting, is that Mouza’s heart finally gave up. Her 7arrah over the love of her life, who made her live like a queen, but who still goes and marries her sister of all women is very predictable.

In my opinion her heart should’ve gone out when she went all crazy on her kids and grand kids. The betrayal is just too much for a heart to handle.

Seeing her die in the last episode, in that way, was very sad. She should’ve gotten a better closure (i.e. good old revenge). I felt sad. But that’s not new, I think everyone in Kuwait, even the men, love Mouza. She was the perfect wife, the perfect mother, and more importantly the perfect mother-in-law.

I can’t say the mosalsal was great. But it was widely  popular. It made people go back to watching mosalsalat Ramadan (people like me, I’ve got to admit that the last ramadan show I watched this closely was 5alti gmasha back in the way day).

Allah yr7am Mouza, w allah ya5ith eb 7arrat.ha men rayilha w e5it.ha.
