Give Peace a Chance

Everyone is getting very sensitive and extreme in their opinions of the Bahraini situation.

But not all supporters of Bahraini protests are traitors or Shei3a, as in not all supporters of the Bahraini government are patriotic or heroes.

As a Kuwaiti, I feel very thankful for our constitution that makes everyone have to respect me, no matter what my beliefs are and no matter who those people are.

Finally, after 50 years of having to be a little bit shameful every time I confess to respecting my constitution, I can finally hold my head up high and be loud and proud of it.

My constitution, no matter how upsetting it was for those blind government followers, is what gives me respect and is what’s saving Kuwait now from all of the political unrest that’s unravelling in both the Arab and Gulf worlds.

I go back to Bahrain…. I pray to God to save that beloved country, make it safe, and return it back to the friendly, lovable, sweet state that it was….

More importantly, I pray to God to keep it out of becoming a playground for regional tasfiyay 7isabat.

Ba7rain is a very dear part of us, and we as Kuwaitis never want to see it suffer in anyway whatsoever.
