Off to Bahrain

I was bored yesterday morning and started browsing airlines, punching in random close by cities. When I got to Jazeera Airways and Bahrain, I found the fare to be a damn bargain. At KD 38, how I can pass it? I am in love with Bahrain, so I can’t say no to such a steal deal!

So I booked it, booked a hotel, and will go there for 3eed. Only down side is I didn’t want to get there while I’m fasting, so I took the 7 p.m. flight. That’s how I ended up having by fast-break at kuwait Airport. And I have got to say their 3adas soup is really good.

Great offer at Atlantis Dubai

A room in Atlantis for KD 105 per night is a great offer. I don’t know what’s happening with Dubai, but even the Jumeirah Beach Hotel has amazing offers. Remember when I wrote a post that rooms start from KD 80 including taxes and breakfast.

I love Dubai, I can love it double and take up both offers. Hmm, what a great idea.

Great News, the W hotel is opening in London

Finally, the W Hotel will open up in London, England. The W London hotel will be located in Leicester Sq., and set to open in February 2011 AND will have its famous Bliss Spa.

The W London will be in the place of the Swiss Corner building, right on Leicester Sq. I was really excited to know the W is opening in London, but when I knew where it was opening; I kind of lost my enthusiasm.

I don’t think Leicester Sq. is the ideal location for the W. It’s noisy and crowded. And I feel  that all the superbness of the W experience is wasted in this terrible location.

Anyways, booking is open for February stays ,and I will definitely give it a try. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not every time you can try out a brand new hotel in London, and the W is worth a stay for sure. Prices start from 330 Sterling pounds a night.

Where to feed your friends when they Visit Kuwait

We all have GCC and Arab friends that come visit us for a few days. We try to make them come during the wonderful months between November and March, in an attempt to deceive them about our devilishly hot weather.

If you’re like me, I don’t mind having them come visit during the summer months. I like the sea, enjoy the beach, and love water activities. Therefore, it goes without saying that if anyone visits me in the summer; be sure we’ll be spending most of out time in chale. Only problem is the unpredictable dusty weather. That would be the only thing stopping us from having a good beach\sea time. (Insert an sincere apology for my Saudi friends whom witnessed 3 full days AND nights of dust last week,, sorry girls, so so sorry).

Anyways. There are a few places, i.e. food stuffing places, that every visitor asks to go to:

  • We have to start the day with Breakfast at the Early Bird Cafe (have no clue why, even though I’m gonna head there after this post to have breakfast and Coffee).
  • Go for dinner at the ever so trendy Slider Station or the recently opened Open Flame Kitchen.
  • Enjoy the view at Marina Crescent and Marina Waves.
  • Have a late Lebanese lunch, after swimming, at Al-Mijana in Al-Koot Mall.
  • Have a very late night Milk shake and apple pie ala mode in Johnny RocketsManshar Mall.
  • Enjoy an early evening snack and dessert at Chocolate Macaroon in Jlai3a.
  • Now if your friends are shway classy or pertinacious, then you obviously have to take them for breakfast at Dean And Deloca in Avenues.
  • Enjoy a cup-a-joe at Starbucks Free Trade Zone, and just watch all the cool bikers with their cool bikes. What a sight.

Bon appetit, mes amis…

A post about what to do in Kuwait is on the way…
