Pics of Freezing London & Rome

England, Britain, and the whole of Europe have experienced a rather harsh winter during these last few days. A lot of places in England and Britain, as well as in Western and Eastern Europe have had to deal with really low temperatures and snow. This top pic is from a snow-ridden colosseum in Rome.

Here are a few pictures of a freezing London, Britain, and a freezing Rome (who experienced its first snow since 1986). This top group of pics are from St. James Park, the Hyde Park, and Trafalgar Sq. in London.

This group of pics is of frozen waterfalls in England and Wales, plus from a Chicken farm in England. Now how cute are these little chickies wearing thermal wools? Soooo cute imho.

These are pics from a frozen lagoon inVenice and the snow filled streets of Rome, Italy.

A Video that Will Make you Cry

I saw this video over at Kaifan5 [link], and it just brought tears to my eyes.

It’s terrible how we treat the handicapped and mentally challenged in Kuwait and the Arab world. I have three cousins with completely differing mental challenges, and an uncle who’s paralyzed. Each of my cousins has a unique and beautiful personality, and I swear they add beauty and love to our lives.

We go out together, we do things together, we sing and dance together, we draw and write together. We also do a lot of these things with other people, in school, in malls, and in various other places. They live their lives in a very individual and incomparable way. They attract us to them, into spending time with them, into hanging out with them.

That is us, or at least my family. That is what they add to our lives. But sadly it’s not what other handicapped or mentally challenged people experience. They experience prejudice, discrimination, and ridicule. I thank God for having my cousins in my life, but I mostly thank him for having us in theirs. I would never be able to live seeing anyone treating them so callously and cruel.

I dare you to watch this video and not cry.

So please, make adjustments and amendments to your opinions (or involuntary reactions or whatever) to this special group of people. They are really special. They do touch our lives and make them better. And they all feel, no matter how disabled you think they are. They feel everything.

Treat them good. But more importantly, treat them normal. Be patient with them and respect them. And love them the most.

Beautiful Pictures of Al-Haram Al-Shareef

I got these beautiful pictures via email, and they were taken from the top of the tallest clock in the world, which is in Mecca [link]. The pictures are really  beautiful and majestic. I’m really glad that I was planning on going to 3omra in th enext few days, the Haram Shareef looks very attractive and holy.

Empress Farah Skiing in Pre-revolution Iran

This American documentary took place at the end of the 1970′s, less than a year before the Islamic revolution. And it’s about the beautiful ski slopes of Iran, narrated by a top American skier.

Don’t miss the part with Iran’s Ex-Empress, Farah, joins the American team on their skiing journey. She looks pretty, elegant, modern, and sophisticated. It’s so sad to see Iran fall back like that, it’s almost unbelievable.

A Magical Video of The Northern Lights

Seeing the Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) is one of my life’s ultimate goals and dreams. This video is one of the best shot of this beautiful and natural light phenomenon that anyone has ever seen.

This is how Wikipedia describes the magical Northern Lights:

An aurora (plural: auroras or aurorae) is a natural light display in the sky particularly in the high latitude (Arctic and Antarctic) regions, caused by the collision of energetic charged particles with atoms in the high altitude atmosphere (thermosphere). The charged particles originate in the magnetosphere and solar wind and are directed by the Earth’s magnetic field into the atmosphere.

The Most Amazing Light Show Ever… What Al-Hamra’s Show Should Have Been Like

Checkout Nokia’s amazing light show, celebrating the launch of it’s new Lumia 800 phone. The event took place in London on the river Thames, and I have got to say this: it was mighty super dazzling.

When I saw it, I immediately thought of the terrible boring light show Al-Hamra had a few weeks ago. Why didn’t they get the guy who did Nokia’s light show? Do you think it’s too late for Al-Hamra to change their program? It would be so cool to have this light show in Kuwait.

You have got to check the vid out, it’s the most amazing 4D show anyone has ever seen. They’re using a huge building as the backdrop for the show, and you can literally see the building transform into a multi-dimensional surface. It’s just beyond wow.
