There’s a three day fun carnival this weekend at Wahran park in Shamiya, from March 14-16.
Expect to find food and art-craft kiosks, competitions and prizes, fun games, and lots of food and drink.

Just to remind you about NBK’s annual walkathon. This year it’s on Saturday March 23rd, and registration is open till Thursday March 21st.
It’s basically a walking race with 4 age categories each for men, women, and children. The distance is 6 kms for women, and 8 kms for men. Kids will have fun and sporting activities, plus the race itself, in the Green Island.
Registration is held at NBK’s tent just before The Scientific Center in Salmiya. It’s one of the biggest sporting events in Kuwait, and is usually a very fun and exciting day.

Registration for NBK’s annual is now open, the tent is set up just before The Scientific Center on Gulf Rd. The race is on March 23rd, which I think is not a good date because: 1. It will be too hot, and 2. They might postpone it if the weather is bad on that date. Anyways, the race is fun for the whole family. It’s one of those fun exciting and different days, plus you might win exciting gifts. So go register now and participate.

Sh. Sabah Al-Ahmad, the Emir of Kuwait, unveiled tonight the new Golden Jubilee monument of Kuwait’s Constitution, located at Martyr’s Park in Kuwait City.
The monument is stunning, breathtaking, magnificent, world class, and 100% superb. We haven’t seen structures this amazing in Kuwait in a really long time. The only other thing I would compare this to is probably the opening of The Scientific Center some 20 years ago.
The monument is located at Martyr’s Park (also known as The Green Belt area), on both Soor Street and the 1st Ring Road, and directly across from the new huge Tijariya tower. The park is public and open to everyone for free, during opening hours of course.
The monument consists of two huge golden slates, located at the apex of a beautiful garden with colorful water fountains. It has several natural looking benches to sit on. I would suggest you visit the park evening time and onwards, to experience both the lights brightly lighting the monument and the colored light shadows on trees and plants.
Note: All pictures were taken with a samsung Galaxy note II. I am really impressed with this phone. Its camera and vid are both great for spontaneous shooting, especially for night time photography.

If you want to know who crossed which traffic light, where and when they did it, their car number or name; then all you have to do is go to this new twitter account to find all that out. The account recalls a lot of violators, from way back in ’06-’07 to this day. This is the link @KWTrafficViolMon if you want to spy (or pry) on these poor people.
Obviously, this is a huge infringement of people’s privacy, and the M.O.Interior can be easily sued by anyone they ever tweeted about. That what makes me unsure if this really is an official M.O.Interior account or not. The account can easily belong to someone who’ve had a family member get hurt, or even die, from a traffic light crossing; and so they want to raise public awareness to this dangerous and stupid violation.

I saw an ad in the papers a few days ago that said 90% of diabetic Kuwaiti kids are living without insulin pumps, which means that every kid takes an average of 1,500 insulin injections per year. That’s almost 5 needle injection PER DAY.
I couldn’t believe the percentage of kids who still rely on painful multi-day injections. It’s very sad. Diabetes is a very tough and life-long chronic disease, without a cure so far. All that we can do is for our kids is provide them with an easier life, and a way to better manage their sickness.
Taking insulin injections is a very painful and tiring way to live by. An insulin pump takes care of both the dosage and pain. It mimics the body’s natural way of providing insulin, so kids can live and eat as close to normal as possible.
I can’t imagine how a kuwaiti kid can live without one. We’re one of the richest countries in the world, giving out billions of dinars in charities all over the globe, every year, and yet we let our kids to live with such suffering and pain!
