Ok, I didn’t think Justin Theroux would be this good, but he turned out to be a excellent breakdancer. I mean he’s good, and not just because he’s 40 years old. Wow.

The brilliant and hugely talented Shurooq Amin has an upcoming Art Exhibition called “It’s a Man’s World”.

I’m a huge fan of Shurooq. I see her as our greatest modern Kuwaiti artist, who produces the most amazing art, and who is probably the most open artistic talent in the country.

She’s a pure genius, and I’m very proud she’s a fellow Kuwaiti. Her art has really took off in the fast few years, with international exhibitions in many of the trendiest cities in the world. Her pieces are now sold for tens of thousands of dollars.

Shurooq Amin is the artist who doesn’t need any introduction as in the past few years she became the absolute leader of Kuwaiti art vanguard . In her previous show “Society Girls” she unveiled explorative scenes from one half of a hidden society’s world and it was an unexpected revelation that had a strong resonance on the public. In her exhibition “It’s a Man’s World” she interrogates many issues and explores the part of society that had been previously untouchable and non-debatable for its moral and social integrity, focusing on the Man, his habits, his lifestyle and his dreams. It is concurrently an unveiling of man’s hypocrisy as well as a celebration of man and life.

“The 99” Islamic super hero movie will open in cinemas tomorrow. It’s a cartoon movie based on the successful “The 99″ comics, featuring encouraging positive Islamic heros. The comics and the movie were both developed by Dr. Naif Al-Mutawa, who also made a documentary called Wham! Bam! Islam!

Dr. Naif was also recognized and honored by President Obama himself, for his contributions in spreading awareness and Islamic tolerance to the Western World.  The 99 series has been reviewed by many international media outlets like: Businessweek, MSNBC, The Washington Post, CNN, and Forbes.

The movie opens here in Kuwait tomorrow, and it gives us and our children a rare chance to see Muslims as good crime-fighting heros. Click [here] to book online.

This guy is even crazier than Hamza Khashgari of a few weeks back. This new guy, Humoud Saleh Al-Amri, went way further than Hamza in his insults, talking about our Prophet Mohammad in a very derogatory and insulting language.

He claims to have converted to Christianity a few years back and had asked the authorities reflect his conversion. That doesn’t give him the right to insult Islam or our prophet, plus it really just basically means he’ll most probably be executed in Saudi.

He’s been in and out of jail a few times over stuff like this before, but I think this is his worst work yet. For his sake, I hope he turns out to be a certified mental nutcase, otherwise he’s in for some tough trouble [Source].

A friend of mine took this picture yesterday morning on the way to work, around 7 a.m. It took her 50 minutes to get to work, for a a journey that usually takes just 7-8 minutes.

Fast forward a few hours, at 11.30, I myself get stuck right on Damascus’ street bridge. It took me 35 minutes to get from the top of the bridge to the 1st entrance into Faiha (a distance of less than 500 meters). I’ve never seen the 3rd RR this jammed, ever.

Back to this morning, our papers [link] greet us with this picture below. It turns out that the truck-trailer accident of yesterday morning was the cause of all yesterday’s traffic blocks.

 أسفرت التحقيقات مع سائق الشاحنة التي تسببت في قطع التيار الكهربائي عن احياء بالمجمعة لساعات الخميس الماضي اثر ارتطام الشاحنة بعمود للضغط العالي اسفرت عن انه كان في حالة سكر اضافة الى وجود كمية من الخمور (عرق) مخبأة في شاحنته. سائق الشاحنة (اسيوي) شوهد قبل لحظات من ارتطامه بالعمود يقود الشاحنة بسرعة كبيرة متجاوزا احدى الاشارات وهي (حمراء). السائق لا يزال يرقد بالمستشفى تحت الملاحظة ومن المقرر خروجه مساء اليوم وايداعه التوقيف لاستكمال التحقيق معه

يذكر ان السائق – والذي يعمل في احدى المؤسسات الخاصة في الانشاء – كان يقود شاحنته بتهور كبير ما تسبب في اصطدامه بعامود الكهرباء وانقطاعها عن احياء عدة بالمجمعة مساء الخميس الماضي حتى تم اصلاح الخلل من قبل شركة الكهرباء – المصدر

This new pizza box won the Red Dot invention award. The design and idea are  so simple and helpful, it’s really astonishing how no one thought of it before.

Paper Dish makes eating a take-away pizza a cleaner experience.

Eating a pizza usually results in getting sauce and oil all over one’s hands.Paper Dish reinvents the typical sheet of greaseproof paper that rests between a take-away pizza and the pizza box. The typical square sheet cannot be used to keep the hands clean and is thrown away after the pizza is eaten. Paper Dish is a perforated sheet that can be torn apart and used as a mini plate. Furthermore, a secondary perforation allows it to be split into two pieces for double usage [link].

This sketch is hilarious. Beyonce and Jay-Z are with Blue Ivy, when a bunch of celebrity friends start popping in. Like Prince, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pit, Taylor Swift, and Justin Timberlake in disguise. I especially loved Nicki Minaj’s part, that was insane.
