Zain’s dancing tower in Bahrain with video

This is an update to my previous post about the dancing tower of Zain in Bahrain. kindly excuse the bad recording, I really don’t know how to shoot at night. Plus, the humidity in Bahrain killed my camera anyways. This is Zain’s building in Bahrain, btw.

This video is a personal response to both his and R. So please please please, don’t tell me you don’t like it. Even if it’s not true, just say you love it. It’s my first ever video after all!

The dancing tower of Zain

Zain’s building in Bahrain is just like Burj Al-Arab in dubai and the Al-Ta2meenat building in Kuwait, with dancing lights changing colors all the time.

I tried to take a few pics of the tower, at night. But i’m not really a good photographer, so I ended up with these pics of a dancing Zain building. I hope you enjoy them. They should be fun to look at.

You can never get bored with Al-Watan newspaper

I have to admit something. I don’t get Al-Watan newspaper at home, for many many reasons excluding its’ owner’s reputation. But I still check it out everyday online. And it never ceases to amaze me how it dramatically embellish headlines.

This is a perfect example. We are all over the moon with 3eed being finally here, BUt here is Al-Watan twisting its dramatic spice into current events.

It’s still a very enjoyable newspaper, especially with its ads.

A weird thing happened in Bahrain today

While I was still at Bahrain Airport, I noticed some people being investigated. Like a proper Kuwaiti, I pretended not to notice, till a nice gentleman from their security called on me.

I felt weird, so like a Kuwaiti, I asked him shilsalfa? He then asked if I was Bahrini, I proudly said I was Kuwaiti. So he just let me go, just like that. Apparently, they are actually checking Bahrinies, after the nasty terrorists activities they had a few days ago.

I have got to say this one more time, I am so proud to be a Kuwaiti. And I love our Parliament, not the MPs; but I do feel that the Parliament along side with our esteemed Government is behind the respect we get world wide.

The ending of Zwarat 5amees

Zwarat 5amees has got to be one of the most controversial Kuwaiti series mosalsal that has aired in a very long time. You just have to go to the blogs, read the comments of posts relating to the mosalsal to get a grasp of how hugely followed it was.

I just finished watching the series finale. I know I’m late, but it has been my habit to watch it on Abu Dhabi at 2 in the morning. For me, the timing works perfectly.

Anyways, back to the finale.

I am really happy that all the boys got back to their wives, and that everyone is in love again. I love how 3iz and zozi got married. I love how the cousin is back in their lives.

What I hate, but have seriously being expecting, is that Mouza’s heart finally gave up. Her 7arrah over the love of her life, who made her live like a queen, but who still goes and marries her sister of all women is very predictable.

In my opinion her heart should’ve gone out when she went all crazy on her kids and grand kids. The betrayal is just too much for a heart to handle.

Seeing her die in the last episode, in that way, was very sad. She should’ve gotten a better closure (i.e. good old revenge). I felt sad. But that’s not new, I think everyone in Kuwait, even the men, love Mouza. She was the perfect wife, the perfect mother, and more importantly the perfect mother-in-law.

I can’t say the mosalsal was great. But it was widely  popular. It made people go back to watching mosalsalat Ramadan (people like me, I’ve got to admit that the last ramadan show I watched this closely was 5alti gmasha back in the way day).

Allah yr7am Mouza, w allah ya5ith eb 7arrat.ha men rayilha w e5it.ha.

باركو يا حباب لعوض الدوخي

This is 3awath Al-Do5ee’s Bariokoo ya 7bab… I had mistakengly thought el3eed hal ehlalah was his song, but thx to Zaid from Kaifan5, I know know it’s for Ma7moud Al-Kuwaiti. Thank you Zaid, that was embarrassing to tell you the truth.

I love both songs, and I do hope you enjoy both of them for 3eed.

Off to Bahrain

I was bored yesterday morning and started browsing airlines, punching in random close by cities. When I got to Jazeera Airways and Bahrain, I found the fare to be a damn bargain. At KD 38, how I can pass it? I am in love with Bahrain, so I can’t say no to such a steal deal!

So I booked it, booked a hotel, and will go there for 3eed. Only down side is I didn’t want to get there while I’m fasting, so I took the 7 p.m. flight. That’s how I ended up having by fast-break at kuwait Airport. And I have got to say their 3adas soup is really good.

An Ad without a name

Frankom had posted about an ad placed in a Saudi newspaper, where they forgot to out the store’s name on the ad. That was funny.

Well, before we start making fun of them, check this ad in today’s Al-Qabas. I had also posted yesterday about an ad that placed twice in the same paper , in the same day, on consecutive pages.

I guess someone in the ad world is getting affected by fasting in Ramadan.

Mo 5oosh 5abar lilriyatha elkwaitiya

The governemnt just announced The Youth & Sport authority’s new members, and it appears that it came as a hell of a  shock to the people on the sports scene.

These are some of the opinions, and are mostly negative. This is Al-Jareeda link, and this is Al-Qabas’ link.
