Shurooq Amin’s “It’s A Man’s World” Art Exhibition

The brilliant and hugely talented Shurooq Amin has an upcoming Art Exhibition called “It’s a Man’s World”.

I’m a huge fan of Shurooq. I see her as our greatest modern Kuwaiti artist, who produces the most amazing art, and who is probably the most open artistic talent in the country.

She’s a pure genius, and I’m very proud she’s a fellow Kuwaiti. Her art has really took off in the fast few years, with international exhibitions in many of the trendiest cities in the world. Her pieces are now sold for tens of thousands of dollars.

Shurooq Amin is the artist who doesn’t need any introduction as in the past few years she became the absolute leader of Kuwaiti art vanguard . In her previous show “Society Girls” she unveiled explorative scenes from one half of a hidden society’s world and it was an unexpected revelation that had a strong resonance on the public. In her exhibition “It’s a Man’s World” she interrogates many issues and explores the part of society that had been previously untouchable and non-debatable for its moral and social integrity, focusing on the Man, his habits, his lifestyle and his dreams. It is concurrently an unveiling of man’s hypocrisy as well as a celebration of man and life.

Vote for Local Kuwaiti Artist Shurooq Amin صوتوا للرسامة المحلية شروق أمين

The amazing and talented Kuwaiti artist Shurouq Ameen is participating in an art contest in Miami. The deadline for the competition is two days from now, and you can vote for Shurouq via this [link] or by clicking the above picture. And you can vote more than once, you’re allowed one vote per day.

I’m a huge fan of Dr. Shurouq’s art, and this is a excerpt of what I wrote about her before [link]:

Shurouq is a very highly talented KUWAITI artist that has come to life in a very unhelpful time. She would have totally rocked if she was doing her art in Kuwait’s 70′s.

… Her art, her personality, her love for life is just beyond contagious.

… She is an amazing artist, and a more amazing human being. I feel very very proud she’s a fellow Kuwaiti. You just don’t see her kind of art anymore these days.

All I have to say about Dr. Shurooq is that we totally need more of her kind in this ever increasing disgracing society.

Shurooq Amin’s Art Exhibition

The very well renowned artist Shurooq Amin is having an art gallery opening tomorrow at Al-Tilal complex in Shuwaikh. Shurouq is a very highly talented KUWAITI artist that has come to life in a very unhelpful time. She would have totally rocked if she was doing her art in Kuwait’s 70′s.

Never the less, ignorance or intolerance is never an excuse to not appreciate great art. Professor Shurooq is having an art exhibition today at 7 p.m. in Al-Tilal trendy complex in Shuwaikh. I know you won’t regret going there at all. Her art, her personality, her love for life is just beyond contagious.

I have always had my eyes on the above painting, and I had a special arrangement with Shurooq to buy it for a messily KD 2,000… And you know what? That same above super cool painting was sold for a whopping $28 thousand!!

Needless to say I had a broken heart, but to Shurooq I say I say kudus and to myself I say hard luck… But hey, at least I had great taste!!

I do repeat, you won’t regret going there today. She is an amazing artist, and a more amazing human being. I feel very very proud she’s a fellow Kuwaiti. You just don’t see her kind of art anymore these days.

All I have to say about Dr. Shurooq is that we totally need more of her kind in this ever increasing disgracing society. Hope to see you all there at 7.
