Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance a big winner on all levels

I’ve always loved this song and video ever since it came out, and I wasn’t the only one either. The video topped both the VMA’s and youtube:

  • Best Dance Music Video.
  • Best Female Video.
  • Most watched video on youtube, at 280 million views.
  • Best Pop video.
  • Video of the year.

Too sick to follow the VMAs

I like watching the VMAs, but I’m too sick to follow anything. This bums!

Kanye West’s apology to Swift not so swift

Kanye West got  himself drunk at last year’s VMA awards, and took the microphone out of Taylor Swift’s hands and blabbered something about Beyonce deserving the award instead of swift. That was shocking to see, since Taylor is such a sweet little thing.

Now it seems that Kanye regrets what he did, and has apologized to Swift via his Twitter account.

I guess late, even the very late, is better than never.

Vanity Fair’s most influential 100 people

Vanity Fair just published its list of the 100 most influential people in the information age. And you will not believe who is # 1. Let me give you a hint, it’s not Bill Gates, it’s not Steve Jobs… It’s actually the founder of Facebook!!

Here are the top 10, you can read all the rest over at Vanity Fair:

  1. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook. With 500 million members, it’s not difficult to see why Mark Z is #1.
  2. Steve Jobs of Apple. His huge influence and impact on both the music and smart phone businesses put him at #2.
  3. Sergey Brin, Larry Page, and Eric Schmidt of Google. These 3 guys own the most popular site on the net, and their Android system phones are expected to surpass iPhone by 2012.
  4. Rupert Murdoch of News Corporation. Ownerships include print media, as well as Fox TV & film.
  5. Jeff Bezos of Amazon. Need we say more on why he’s on the list? He single handedly revolutionized online shopping, wether books, ebooks, or Kindle e-reader.
  6. Bernard Arnault of LVMH. He’s the richest man in Europe, and was able to steer the luxury empire in the roughest financial crises in decades.
  7. Michael Bloomberg the Mayor of New York. In addition to his vast fortune, he was able to achieve tremendous success as mayor, with reduced crime and improved education.
  8. Larry Ellison of Oracle. His software practically dominates the world, plus he and 37 other billionairs have promised to donate half their fortunes to charity. Well Done Larry, along with Bill Gates and Warren Buffett.
  9. Evan Williams and Biz Stone of Twitter. With 124 million users and a billion tweets a month, they sure deserve to be on the top 10 list.
  10. John Malone. His media empire includes Expedia and Sirius internet radio among other things.

I know some of my friends will be over the moon with this list. One person in particular is so in love with LV, Expedia, Apple, and Facebook all at once. Knock yourself out with the list R.

Jimmy Fallon and Glee at the Emmys 2010

The primetime Emmy award winners have been announced; and I am sad to say that none of my favorite actors actresses or shows have won. The only close thing to good news is that Modern Family won best comedy, and this is not a top favorite show of mine, but I still watch it sometimes. Other than that, all I can say about the Emmys is What A Bummer!!

Anyways, I leave you with the Emmy’s opening act. It features Jimmy Fallon, Tina Fey, Betty White, the cast of Glee, and fat dude from Lost. They’re performing Bruce Springsteen‘s Born to Run.

Primetime Emmy awards are tonight

The Primetime Emmy awards are tonight at 8 EST. There is a collection of great shows on honor including some of my personal favorites; like 30 Rock, Big Bang Theory, Dexter, Parks & Recreation, and Two and a Half Men. This is a full list of this year’s nominations.

It’s going to be hosted by Jimmy Fallon, one of the funniest guys out there. He’s got enough experience in doing this, since he hosted the MTV movie awards twice and the MTV VMA awards. That is impressive, so the night should be fun with him hosting.

This year’s awards are supposed to be the most exciting in a longtime for many reasons:

  • Some of the shows nominated have already been cancelled.
  • NBC & Emmy are going to stream live the awards worldwide.
  • Record number of nominations for some studios.

Justin Bieber wins MTV VMA award, sorta

Look at this adorable picture. It looks like Justin Bieber won his first MTV VMA award, but the award show is not on till next month.

What MTV did is that they shot a short bio on Bieber’s rise from a youtube sensation to the fame of a blown out pop star. I guess we have to wait and see if he does actually win his 1st moon-man trophy.
